Working toward becoming a licensed therapist.

Before formally pursuing academic psychology, I spent several years working in mental health and addiction treatment facilities. That experience led me to Loyola Marymount University, where I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology, graduating summa cum laude with honors.
Following my undergraduate degree, I have spent three years working on a small team conducting NIH-funded research on mental health and substance use, contributing to many peer-reviewed publications. I am currently completing my master's degree at LMU toward LPCC licensure, while continuing to work in research.
My clinical interests include anxiety, trauma, couples, and substance use. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based theory and technique, drawing primarily on cognitive behavioral therapy and related modalities. I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change, and that effective therapy should build lasting insight and practical skills that will lead to a more fulfilling and successful life.
